Meet The Team

Being half of the original Gibsons line up in 1986, Geoffrey, a Chartered Accountant, has substantially contributed to growing and developing the practice to where it is today.

He has a large portfolio of loyal, satisfied clients and acts as the firm’s Managing Director. Geoffrey plays an active role in the local business community and in a mixture of work and pleasure, is also Treasurer of the QPR Supporters Trust.

After qualifying with a City firm, Chartered Accountant Stephen merged his business in 1986 and co-founded Gibsons. Since then he has been a major contributor to the firm’s organic growth by retaining and developing his client base, which is wide ranging both in terms of size and sector. Stephen has particular expertise in dealing with Pension Funds.

Chris joined Gibsons in 1989 after finishing his University studies and went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. He specialises in Property and looks after the audit and tax requirements of some of the firm’s largest corporate clients.

His strong technical knowledge made him an ideal choice to preside over the legislative requirements of the firm. He is also a VAT expert on Land matters.

Perry joined us in the summer of 2016, our 30th Anniversary year. Having spent almost 20 years at another local practice he is now part of our team to assist with the strengthening of the practice for our next 30! His client base consists of a varied portfolio of loyal and trusted corporates and individuals, including professional practices including lawyers, surveyors, insurance and property clients. Perry takes great pride in assisting new and emerging businesses allowing him the opportunity to explore his love of networking and natural people skills.

Sonny has been a key part of Gibsons since 2001 and is a Chartered Certified Accountant with extensive experience across audit, accounting, and taxation. He works closely with a diverse range of clients, with particular expertise in the medical sector, providing clear and practical advice on compliance, tax planning, and business development.

Known in the office as the go-to for anything technical, Sonny has a deep understanding of tax legislation and accounting standards, and keeps the team up to date with the latest developments. With a meticulous eye for detail and strong practical knowledge of systems such as Sage and QuickBooks, he ensures clients receive accurate, reliable support tailored to their needs.

Jamie joined Gibsons in 2012 as a trainee accountant and has since gone on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW. Over the years, he’s gained wide-ranging experience supporting both limited companies and sole traders across a variety of industries.
He has particular expertise within the construction and media sectors and enjoys working closely with owner-managed businesses to help them grow and plan for the future. Jamie takes a clear, practical approach to accounting and prides himself on being approachable and down-to-earth, making sure clients feel supported and confident in their decisions.

Vrutika joined Gibsons in 2023 and quickly became an integral part of the team. As a Chartered Certified Accountant, she works across a wide range of clients, handling accounts preparation, taxation, and business support.

Known for her thorough approach and impressive efficiency, Vrutika takes pride in delivering work to a consistently high standard. Her attention to detail and commitment to accuracy make her a trusted and dependable member of the Gibsons team.

Liza is a key member of our accounts team, responsible for managing VAT returns for both quarterly and monthly clients. She works closely with a wide range of businesses, maintaining regular contact to ensure records are up to date and deadlines are always met.
Alongside her bookkeeping work, Liza also assists with the preparation of self-assessment tax returns. She is highly experienced with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and FreeAgent, and provides clients with clear, practical support to help them stay organised and compliant throughout the year.

Antonio joined Gibsons as a graduate trainee and is now nearing completion of his ICAEW studies to become a Chartered Accountant. He assists in the preparation of financial statements for limited companies and individuals, as well as corporate and personal tax returns.
With a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical approach, Antonio enjoys finding practical ways to improve efficiency and uncover tax-saving opportunities for clients. He is developing well-rounded experience across accounting and taxation and plays an active role in supporting clients with their compliance and reporting needs.

Sarah heads up our payroll department and manages all payroll and pension requirements for our clients. She oversees the submission of monthly RTI returns, pension uploads, and assists with the preparation and filing of CIS returns to HMRC.
With over 20 years’ experience in practice, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge and a highly organised approach to her work. Her strong communication skills and attention to detail ensure clients receive a smooth, reliable service every month.

Marie takes care of the firm’s Human Resource requirements having spent over 20 years in the City working with professional practices in the financial services and accountancy sector.
